OR blog #9
For my second outside reading book, I am reading Animal Farm by George Orwell. So far I have read chapter one. This book is about a bunch of farm animals on the Manor farm. Old Major, a prize boar and pillar of the animal community, gave a speech to all of the animals about how they life a sad life. He explains that they are locked up in a barn all their lives and then end up as food. He talks about dreams he has had, teaches them songs, and they start thinking of plans to stop this and make their lives better. After Old Major's speech they all went back into their places in the barn and fell asleep. This is a short summary of what happened in teh first chapter.
