I just read section six of Night by Elie Wiesel. In this section there is a blizzard and the prisoners of Buna are being evacuated. If they decide to stop running they get shot and a little boy that was running next to Eliezer decided he couldn't run any more and he got trampled to death. The only thing that keeps Eliezer from stopping is that he is near his father who is running alongside him. The pain of his injured foot is very bad but after about 42 miles they came to a stop at a deserted village. This is one of the main things that happens in this section.
