Dear Mary Ann,
My friend Siddhartha is having trouble and needs some help. He is trying to find his enlightment but keeps getting distracted and lost which is making him very frustrated. He has tryed many things but can not seem to reach enlightment. He has lost many good friends such as Govinda, his best friend.
Along with losing Govinda, Siddhartha has also lost his dad because he decided to join the semanas to reach enlightment. Siddhartha feels very lonely because everyone that was close to him before is not anymore and he doesn't know what to do. He doesn't have anyone to turn to and his having a very hard time trying to reach enlightment. What should Siddhartha do?
Sincerely,
Govachena
Dear Govachena,
It sounds like Siddhartha is going through a lot at once and is stuck. I think that he should first think if he should follow a path and stick to it or go find his dad or Govinda and straighten things out with them and then go follow a path if he chooses. If he chooses to follow a path he should block out all the temptations and be confident and strong in the path he is following so that he can reach enlightment. If he chooses to find his old close relationships and then follow a path he should find them and clear things up. Maybe he will learn something from them and their experiences and then that will help him choose what to do or what path he should follow to reach enlightment. I would suggest that you keep pushing him to find enlightment and help him no matter what he chooses to do. I am very sorry about your friend Siddhartha and I hope everything goes well.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann
